Rochelle
and Marvin Humes are expecting their second baby in the very near
future, with the pair already being mum and dad to three-year-old
Alaia-Mai.
Now
pregnant Rochelle has revealed that although they don’t know the gender
of their baby, she’s worried that Alaia will be left disappointed if it
is a boy – even admitting that Alaia has threatened to ‘push it back
up’ if her parents give her a baby brother.
Rochelle has opened up about her daughter’s expectations.
Yikes.
Speaking
to Hello! magazine, Rochelle explained: “Alaia’s been going through an
‘Urgh boys, I only like girls’ stage lately and said that if it’s a
brother she wants to push him back in.
“So now I’ve gone so far in preparing her for the fact that it might be a boy, I worry she might be disappointed if it’s not.”
Despite
not wanting a brother, Alaia-Mai is ecstatic at the thought of becoming
a big sister and Rochelle went on to add that she’s already proven
herself to be an invaluable helper.
She
shared: “We’re expecting in the spring time and can’t wait. We’re so
excited for Lai to have a little playmate. Already she’s showing that
she’s going to be such a little helper.
“She tells me, ‘Mummy we need to buy nappies and dummies’.
“And
when we’re cuddling up, she puts her mouth right over my belly button
and goes, ‘Hello little brother or sister’. It’s very cute.”
And
we have absolutely no doubt that Alaia is going to be a brilliant older
sibling – whether it’s to a girl or -heaven forbid- a boy.
